June 11, 2011 – Geneva, Switzerland – Jerome ‘Geronimo’ Le Banner vs Stefan ‘Blitz’ Leko championship fight on return.

They previously fought 10 years ago at K-1 tournament in June 2001 where Le Banner won by points.

Both have achieved the top of the top in fight sport winning the most prestigious belts during all these years.

French kickboxer Jerome Le Banner is still considered to be one of the best fighters being famous for his aggressive style and knockout power. He has knocked out top ranked Peter Aerts, Ernesto Hoost, Francisco Filho, Mike Bernardo and holds wins over Remy Bonjasky and Mark Hunt. He also holds an MMA victory over World-ranked middleweight Yoshihiro Akiyama.

Stefan Leko is a German-Croatian from Golden Glory is a former heavyweight muaythai and kickboxing World champion, K-1 European GP ’98 champion, K-1 Dream ’99 champion and 2x time K-1 World GP champion in Las Vegas.

Though years and time dictate their own rules. Last two fights Leko lost by TKO vs Frederic Sinistra and Wendell Roche. Le Banner’s last fight vs Kyotaro was a loss too, according to Wiki it says ‘Forfeit’.

Nevertheless this up-coming fight in Switzerland seems to be pretty interesting as both are very technical, titled and experienced, will be great to watch.
