Australian Erin McGowan is fighting Amy Johnson of Canada for the WBO world title at the Wild West Boxing promotion on June 3, 2011 in Perth, WA

Erin McGowan, 30, is an undefeated Australian professional boxer with fourteen wins and seven knockouts. Earlier today she shared few facts about her career, preparation for this fight and the up-coming show.

“I have caused quite a few upsets in my career stepping up and fighting heavier girls in Australia and New Zealand,” she said.

“Lyndsey Scragg came from London too and a lot of people expected me to loose that fight, though I won every round and became WBO champion.”

“It’s two weeks before the next fight. I’m starting to feel good now, fitness is up, looking forward to start to tapering off next week.”

“We can’t get footage of Amy Johnson, that’s the problems with the most of girls boxers, there is no much information on them.”

“I know she is tough and comes to fight.”

“I have been training under Sergei Ivashyn, he is awesome, he really got my speed and technique.

“I also work with Jeff Fenech who is 3 time World champion. So I feel like the best coaches working with me for this fight and I am ready to go.”

“Promoting and fighting is always a taught job. Adam Forsyth and myself have a great fan base in Perth so we are looking forward to put on a good show for them.”

“We will have some really good DJ’s playing on the night to make it a great show of boxing mixed with entertainment.”
