Boxing referee from Atlantic City, NJ Steve Smoger is officiating the next episode of Bigger’s Better TV show on September 23 in Vilnius.

East Coast’s famous American boxing referee Steve Smoger is also the Atlantic City Municipal Court judge as well as a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force reserve.

Steve Smoger, veteran of 126 title fights, maintains a strict training regime to keep himself physically and mentally fit for work in the ring.

“If these fighters can train for their participation, I can train for mine. I take it that seriously,” he says.

Smoger is known as a boxing’s invisible man watching the fight action closely, making sure no fouls are committed and no fighters get badly injured.

Some of the notable bouts Smoger refereed are Kelly Pavlik vs Jermain Taylor, Vernon Forrest vs Shane Mosley, Bernard Hopkins vs Félix Trinidad and Roy Jones Jr. vs Bernard Hopkins.

Smoger comes to the capital of Lithuania to be the third man inside the ring during the seventh episode of Bigger’s Better boxing TV show. The programme airs live in prime time on Eurosport network on Friday, September 23, 2011 from Siemens Arena, Vilnius.

The 8-man heavyweight eliminator will see competitors from numerous countries such as Germany, Turkey, Lithuania, Denmark, Russia and more. The athletes compete in one night tournament of boxing. In addition the schedule includes an international kickboxing championship for the prestigious WKN belt.
