On Sunday December 16 Vitaly Gurkov of Belarus is taking on the world’s best and most famous muaythai fighter, K-1 world Max champion Buakaw Por Pramuk of Thailand.

Buakaw Por Pramuk vs Vitaly Gurkov is the championship round of Thai Fight 2012.

The championship round will be held at King Chulalongkorn Monument Square in Bangkok and broadcast Live on several TV channels.

Vitaly Gurkov is well known in the World’s stage of Amateur muaythai. He is a multiple European and World champion. On last IFMA competitions he defeated famous Thai star Kem, which made him to be noticed by Thai Fight promoters again, and together with Andrei Kulebin they were invited to participate.

Gurkov was one of those very first Thai Fight competitors in 2010. He went through the selection round and was defeated by Petchmankong in quarter-final.

One of the picks of Gurkov’s career was probably the win of Brute Force tournament in Melbourne in 2007 where he took 8 men tournament winning Greg Foley in the final. He also won K-1 European Grand Prix and tried himself on Giorgio Petrosyan.

On the way to the Thai Fight Final Round and facing Buakaw Por Pramuk, Vitaly Gurkov has defeated Fares Bechar from France and Antero Hyny­nen from Finland.
