Rob Powdrill went up to the final of the 8-man cruiserweight tournament on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in Adelaide, SA.

In the opening round Perth athlete Rob Powdrill took a split judges decision over local Charles August. In the semi-final Powdrill earned the second round knockout victory over Gaz Rees of Canberra.

In the championship bout Powdrill faced off Kim Loudon of New South Wales.

In the first fight Loudon claimed Round 1 KO victory over his State-fellow Simon Maait. He advanced to the championship bout skipping the semi-final due to all other fighters being injured.

Powdrill vs Loudon ended within the first three minutes in the favor of the representative of New South Wales.

For West Australian the journey was successful enough, by proving his is still in the top lines of the cruiserweight division in the country.
