After ten rounds of action Rob Powdrill became a new WBF International light-heavyweight champion. Although he got dropped in the first round he earned a majority points decision.

“After a solid 10 round war which I truly believe I did enough to claim victory, it wasn’t to be. I take my hat of to Rob Robert Powdrill a true warrior. I am till I won the hearts and admiration of 1000 supporters there tonight and inspired many more. No belt but my job here is done,” Monteleone posted on his Facebook page.

“It was awesome, hard fight, stoked to have done a 10 rounder,” Powdrill told FIGHTMAG this morning.

“Thanks to Ricardo for the opportunity and the war.”

“I was comfortable fighting boxing, but they [punches] are a lot harder to land.”

“I’m sure I will fight boxing again.”
