The Springbok Yolanda Schmidt of Australia takes a notable win over Thai star Chomanee at IFMA 2015 Royal World Cup in Bangkok, Thailand.

Yolanda Schmidt is a part of Muay Thai Australia National Team which takes part in IFMA Royal World Cup 2015. The championship is held in Bangkok from 13 to 23 August. It is gathered by over a hundred countries participants.

In the opening round New South Wales’ Schmidt has faced the representative of the country host, Chomanee. The fight is reported to be a very tough challenge, nevertheless the “Green-and-Gold” athlete from Down-Under was pronounced as the winner.

I believe the most difficult part was the mental challenge. Yolanda is a skillful and strong girl, there would not be problems with that. However to be drawn against Thai, in Thailand, in the very first bout of the whole championship, would definitely be something challenging, mostly on the emotional level.

Schmidt has accomplished the first step. She, though, has no much time to relax. She is now facing the fighter from Belarus, which is always the TOP 3 country in the final report of such a championship. The big difference is also that Thai fighters are commonly students, where Belarusians are professional athletes.

Indeed, South Africa-born Yolanda Schmidt is believed to be capable in taking all championship.
