Nordine Saidane stood for Europe when he faced the representative of South America Ariel Araneda.

The WKN kickboxing Intercontinental championship headlined Simply The Best 9 Farciennes fight night last Sunday in Farciennes.

Belgium’s Saidane and Araneda who came from Argentina, have battled for the WKN Intercontinental title in the super-welterweight division under oriental rules. An evenly matched challenge has produced an all around kickboxing action with the result going to the judges score cards. Saidane has been pronounced as a deserved new title holder, however Araneda’s camp would definitely like to see their second match in the nearest future, likely in South America.

Simply The Best 9 Belgium fight night has seen eight professional bouts with the athletes representing eight different countries. Along side with the country-host Belgium and Team Argentina which co-headlined the event, the gala has seen Greek, Hungarian, Maltese, Russian, French and Romanian kickboxers. Among all, local beauty Ashley Gilson defeated Lehota Krisztina from Hungary, and Lello Perego, who they call “Sultan”, has taken the victory over Greece’s Nikolaos Kontagiannis. Complete results are presented below. Photo report can be found here.
