Kickboxing sensation from Slovakia Tomas Mozny takes part in the European Grand Prix, in defense of his WKN title. He is then off to Russia to challenge international belt.

Mozny, 26, is on notice since early 2013. He is a finalist of the 22nd edition of renowned Bigger’s Better boxing series on Eurosport. The following year in October, the ‘Giant Slovak’ earned the WKN European crown at ‘Simply The Best’ fight night. He stopped Bulgarian Krasimir Vulev in round two, and beat on points his country-fellow Radovan Kulla. In 2015 Mozny was defending his title against Mathieu Kongolo from Belgium. The bout went into a draw with the champion retaining his belt.

On Saturday February 20, Mozny competes in the 4 man tournament. This is where he, again, puts his prestigious belt for grabs at ‘Nitra Night Fighter’ in Slovakia. In the opening round Mozny is reportedly facing Colin George from Netherlands. Dutch athlete is, as much or as a little, but a former challenger of K-1 star Jerome Le Banner when they clashed at the second edition of ‘Fight Night Saint Tropez’. The second semi-final will see local Martin Pacas taking on Giorgos Mavrogiannis from Greece. The show will also see Ivana Miklasova fighting Swedish Sandra Bengtsson and several national and International title bouts.

Next is when Mozny travels to Russia. There he is fighting Mikhail Shein at the ‘Battle of Sura 5’ show. The clash of the heavyweights will see an anticipated rematch, as well as the WKN international championship. Their original bout took place in Kazan in February last year. Mozny took a spectacular knockout win in round four, after performing a devastating left kick to the head. The event will see several MMA international challenges, and the list of special guests that features such names as ‘NABBA Universe 2009’ Alexey Netesanov, MMA fighter Jeff Monson and UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov.
