Iraqi-British champion Riyadh Al-Azzawi earned his sixth WKN kickboxing title on Friday 4th March 2016 at York Hall in London.

Spinning-back kick does the job for Golden Champ.

Scheduled five-rounder was over way earlier the final bell. Heavyweight kickboxing championship went ahead under original kickboxing rules known as ‘Full Contact’. The style widely practiced by famous Chuck Norris and Don ‘The Dragon’ Wilson. Al-Azzawi destroyed his opponent in one round. He was defending his belt against American-English Brian Connor.

A spectacular spinning-back body kick followed a series of fast punches, forcing referee to open a count. Connor recovered, however the champion did not hesitate to throw one more of his favorite spinning shots that dropped the challenger on the canvas. Earlier in his career, Iraqi champ Al-Azzawi stated notable defenses of his title against Yavor Marinchev and Slavi Stoilov. He won the belt over Poland’s Tomasz Borowiec in 2008.

Renowned ‘Golden Champion’ Riyadh Al-Azzawi is the first Arab fighter in history of kickboxing, who has become a world champion in the heavyweight class. He has now added the forth prestigious WKN world title belt to his collection, that also includes European and British straps.
