Stephane Cabrera Receives Birthday Greetings

World Kickboxing Network president Stephane Cabrera visits Iran to help development of kickboxing throughout the country.

Stephane Cabrera is currently in Tehran, where he is invited by Iranian Olympic Committee. The purpose of a four-day visit from 3 to 7 May aims to cement collaboration between Iranian kickboxing community and the rest of the world. The main features include media conferences, meeting with the committee, seminars for athletes and officials. The person in charge of the tour locally is Seyed Hamid Reza Hejazi.

“Every year we travel to new countries to help them with the development of kickboxing,” he said.

“Last year was Nepal. This year Iran where we are having a meeting with all kickboxing community.”

“WKN worked with Iran long ago. Recently we’ve relaunched our collaboration.”

“Last January we held the national kickboxing championship. Now we aim international activities.”

WKN president Stephane Cabrera is the man credited with helping popularizing kickboxing throughout the World. For over 20 years the World Kickboxing Network operates on every part of the Planet, producing a distinguished work towards the development of sport.

On May 4 Stephane Cabrera celebrates his birthday. He has received a greeting from Iranian kickboxing community. The gift is made of his portrait outlining the ‘Grand Master’ and a birthday cake made in WKN logo.

“The hospitality here is incredible. People are really nice,” he said.

“We have received a very warm welcome,”
