The boxers of Uzbekistan earn the number of gold medals and the top spot in boxing at Summer Olympic Games Rio 2016.

Uzbekistan rises in the ranks of amateur boxing. Four years back at London 2012 the country earned a single bronze medal. This time, at Rio 2016, the boxers of Uzbekistan collected three gold, two silver and two bronze medals. Consequently they claimed the total of seven spots on the pedestal. As a result, the country took the first line of the medal table.

Cuba traditionally showcased a strong performance. Its boxers earned three gold and three bronze medals. Such result outlined the large island of Caribbean region on the second position.

The country of perfect wine and cheese, La France has again proved as one of the strongest customers when it comes to the fighting sport. The total of six medals, two of each rank, cemented France on the third place.

The Rio 2016 medal table in boxing consists of 19 countries. Venezuela completes the roll with single bronze. Australia does not feature in the list.
