Rob Powdril is a Rare Person

Rob Powdrill is another great friend I have thanks to WKN.

Back in 2010 Rob Powdrill featured on the main card at our Domination 4 promotion John Wayne Parr vs Dmitry Valent for the WKN super welterweight world title. Rob fought and stopped Ricardo Miranda of Queensland as well as earned a prestigious WKN Australian title.

In August 2011 we trained together. In early 2012 I was honored to promote him internationally for the challenge of the WKN world title in France.

He then had a couple more muaythai and MMA fights and took a pause. Although some really crossed him off the scene we both returned victorious in November 2013.

By June 2014 Rob Powdrill basically run out of muaythai opponents here in Australia. This was one of the reasons he switched to boxing. Here is the “I-can-see-the-future” video blog a couple of days before he took on Damien Hooper in November 2014. He then caused headaches for numerous others boxers in the region.

In September 2015 I had a green light from the World Kickboxing Network to manage Team Australia for the international event in Spain. Rob Powdrill was on the top of the list to travel to Barcelona. This blog on the day of take off might make you smile.

In May Rob fought in China. The bout ended in favor of local fighter. Since then the news stream is quiet.

It is generally calm before the storm.
