Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is a guest star in the upcoming episode of the Blindspot on NBC.
The “Blindspot” is an American crime drama TV series. It airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm (ET) on NBC network. Among others, the cast comprises Jaimie Alexander who plays Jane Doe, Sullivan Stapleton who plays Kurt Weller and Rob Brown who plays Edgrar Reade. In the episode scheduled for early May Ronda Rousey portrays Devon Penberthy.
Rousey’s character is a female prison inmate. A tough athletic woman from a working-class family out of in White Mountains of New Hampshire knows how to fight and can use the weapon.
On Wednesday, famed MMA fighter posted a photo on her Instagram. It shows her in the car with with Audrey Esparza wearing a prison uniform. The latter is an actress who plays Tasha Zapata. Rousey captioned the image saying she had fun filming the show. “Check out season 2 of Blindspot”. She also gives a hint that the “episode 20 is particularly awesome.”
Esparza also published a picture with Rousey from “just another day on the set of” Blindspot on NBC. “Is this real life?!?” she captioned.
In addition, TMZ.com posted a set of photos from the Blindspot where Rousey appears in the orange prison uniform. The filming reportedly took its place at a Brooklyn park in New York city. Rousey wasn’t seen on public since her devastating loss against Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 last December.
