Pavol Garaj is going up against Harut Grigorian at Glory 39 Super Fight Series on March 25 in Brussels.
Pavol Garaj is a prominent competitor out of Slovakia. He is fighting out of Body Gym under the patronage of Lukas Bodyy. The latter is also a promoter of “Simply The Best” kickboxing series in Poprad.
Over the years Garaj has indeed built his name facing off numerous international opponents. His highlight includes the 2013 WKN title challenge live on Eurosport. Slovak fighter earned the decision against famed Frenchman Steeve Valente at the Bigger’s Better Boxing, series 25. Furthermore, the following year he became the WKN super welterweight kickboxing world champion. Garaj defeated Stefan Stankov of Bulgaria at the debut of “Simply The Best”.
Next Sunday Garaj partakes in Glory 39 Super Fight Series on UFC Fight Pass. Earlier this week the promotion announced the changes in the fight card. Garaj replaces France’s Karim Benmansour.
“Requiring additional time off to recover from surgery, French veteran Karim Benmansour will no longer compete at Glory 39 Super Fight Series. Slovakian welterweight and Glory newcomer Pavol Garaj will now face Benmansour’s original opponent, relentless Belgian powerhouse Harut Grigorian (43-10, 32 KO), currently ranked No 5 in the division,” says the press release.
Participation of Garaj in the Glory World Series makes him the second athlete out of the WKN Top Team branch in Slovakia. Tomas Mozny (17-5-1) competes in the heavyweight class.
In the main event at Glory 39 Super Fight Series the promotion’s inaugural lightweight champion, Sittichai of Thailand puts his belt on the line. He faces off the No 1 ranked challenger Dylan Salvador of France.
