Muaythai celeb out of Thailand, Yodsanklai Fairtex visited Perth in August 2015. That was his third journey to Australia since 2005. In the debut he fought and defeated John Wayne Parr on the Gold Coast. Five years later he fought JWP in Melbourne who has taken a split decision.

As many as two years ago, “Yod” traveled to Western Australia. He appeared in the main event of Origins Fight Promotions on August 8. His opponent was a local competitor Marco Tentori. The bout scheduled for five by three minute rounds went on distance. One of the highlights has seen the Thai fighter scoring the knockdown in Round 5. He has earned a unanimous decision as an ultimate result.

Among other verdicts on the night, Ben Worsfold took a split decision against Alex Amoroso. Nat Edwards defeated Whitney Tuna by TKO in Round 1. Also, Jason Harris defeated David Pugh in the “Zero to Hero” challenge. As well, Victoria Callaghan defeated Jennifer Sinclair by a unanimous decision.

The event marked the second-to-last fight of Yodsanklai before he has taken some time off. Two months later he defeated Russian Dzhabar Askerov by points in China. That was his final battle until February 2017.

In the comeback Yodsanklai stopped Saifullah Hambahadov in Round 2 with punches. The match headlined Chinese kickboxing gala Kunlun Fight. This Saturday April 15, the “King of Muaythai” returns to China. He faces off Masoud Minaei of Iran. The pair battles out in the main event of the “Martialism Square” promotion.
