Famed muaythai fighter out of Thailand, Yodsanklai Fairtex continues his adventure inside the boxing ring. After having a break, that lasted for over a year, the winner of Contender Asia returned to action in February. This was when he scored Round 2 TKO victory against Saifullah Hambahadov of Russian at Chinese kickboxing promotion Kunlun Fight in Sanya.

On April 15 “Yod” again appeared in China. He headlined the Martialism Square event held in Guangzhou. Masoud Menai of Iran formed the opposition for one of the most known authentic representatives of the Art of Eight Limbs.

Yodsanklai Fairtex vs Masoud Menai went ahead under untypical rules. The bout was scheduled for one round with the duration of nine minutes. In addition to all-round stand up striking techniques, the standing submissions were allowed, as well as throwing the opponent. To win the contest, the fighter had to score a stoppage.

The outcome has produced a TKO victory in favor of Thai master. He dropped his opponent twice with the left cross. The ultimate knockdown also came from the punches. The referee waved the fight off. As a result Yodsanklai Fairtex updates his record to 196-71-4. Masoud Menai drops to 13-2.

The attendees of the the event have also witnessed the appearance of muaythai ambassador, Buakaw Banchamek. He appeared inside the ring in Muay Boran gear, shoulder to shoulder with Yodsanklai. A series of international bouts featured on the program.
