Gozdzicki vs Su Kim for WKN World lightweight kickboxing title
Kickboxing gala ICX Seoul is held on May 14 at the 4.600-seat Jangchung Gymnasium. The happening is the first in history of Korea when the WKN World title is contested on its soil. The promoter of the event is a scientific sports marketing and consulting company Sportizen.
Allan Gozdzicki of Belgium and Dong Su Kim of Korea will battle out for the WKN lightweight title in the headliner of the show. The fighters are familiar with each other. The pair has previously fought in the main event of Simply The Best 1 Charleroi. The intercontinental challenge in muaythai went on distance with a proclaimed verdict as a unanimous draw. The upcoming bout will dot the i’s and cross the t’s; furthermore prestigious belt at stake. The contest is scheduled at 5×3 minute rounds.
ICX is an International Championship of Xtreme Fighting. The event is the following episode of the collaboration between the World Kickboxing Network and Korea. Numerous athletes out of the country have taken part in the various international WKN promotions throughout Europe, including Slovakia, Czech, Belgium and France. The most recent edition was this past Saturday at Full Contact gala in Nice.
In addition, early January the WKN President Stephane Cabrera visited Seoul where he had a meeting with “The Khan” promotion. The organization headed by Myungkyu Yang is considered as the largest kickboxing group in Korea. A former partner of FEG that was in charge of local K-1 promotions.
