Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey guest star on Blindspot Season 2 Episode 20

The “Blindspot” is an American crime drama TV series on NBC. In the upcoming episode on Wednesday May 3, a former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey portrays Devon Penberthy. The character is a tough athletic woman, who is serving time behind the bars. Among others the cast of the show includes Sullivan Stapleton who plays Kurt Weller, Rob Brown who plays Edgrar Reade as well as Jaimie Alexander who plays Jane Doe.

In March Rousey posted a photo on Instagram that shows her wearing a prison uniform, while she is in the car with Audrey Esparza. The latter is an actress who portrays Tasha Zapata on Blindspot.

The Blindspot episode with Ronda Rousey is subtitled as “In Words, Drown I”. Its revealed plot is the following:

Zapata’s [Audrey Esparza] transgressions land her in jail, alongside a potentially powerful Sandstorm asset named Devon [Ronda Rousey]. Weller [Sullivan Stapleton] and the team go to great lengths to help Zapata out.

Jane Meets Her Match

On Thursday NBC posted a promo for the next Wednesday show. It features “Jane Doe [Jaimie Alexander] who meets her match when Ronda Rousey guest stars in a special episode of Blindspot,” says the description to the video.

Rousey also shared the clip on her profiles in social media. “Quick promo for my Blindspot guest appearance airing this Wednesday, May 3rd at 8pm/7c on NBC,” she wrote in the caption.

On the big screen Ronda Rousey appeared The Expendables 3, Furious 7 and Entourage. She stared alongside numerous celebrities such as Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez. In addition, the WWE manager Paul Heyman has recently invited Ronda Rousey to pro wrestling.
