Kickboxing promotion Glory 41 Holland was held on Saturday May 20 at the Brabanthallen Exhibition Centre in Den Bosch. The program included the five-fight bill live on ESPN3, that followed the the six-fight Super Fight Series card on UFC Fight Pass.
In the headline event at Glory 41 Holland Hesdy Gerges of Egypt scored a unanimous decision against Tomas Hron of Czech. The latter was a short notice replacement for Chi Lewis-Parry.
The four-man heavyweight contender tournament featured on the program. D’Angelo Marshall of Curacao took all when he stopped Mohamed Abdallah of Germany in Round 1, as well as earned a unanimous decision against Anderson Silva of Brazil.
The current heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven of Holland faced off Ismael Lazaar of Morocco in the headline event at Glory 41 Super Fight Series. The result of the five-round non-tile bout went in favor of the representative of the country-host who comfortably earned a unanimous decision.
In addition, a featherweight title was challenged during the evening. A former two-division champion Robin van Roosmalen of Holland battled out against Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao of Thailand. After five rounds of action Dutch fighter took a majority judges decision. As a results he reclaimed the belt, he was stripped off in January when he failed to make weight in the victorious bout against Matt Embree of Canada in Los Angeles.
