UFC 214: Cormier vs Jones 2 is held at Honda Center in Anaheim on July 29 live on Pay-Per-View.

In the main event at UFC 214 a current light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier (19-1-0) squares of against Jon Jones (22-1-0) in defense of the belt. The bout is a rematch following their encounter in 2015 when Jones, a champion at that time, defended the title earning a unanimous decision.

The organization announced on Monday that Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino (17-1, 1 NC) of Brazil squares off against Megan Anderson (8-2)¬†of Australia in the second bout from the top. The contest is for a vacant UFC women’s featherweight title. As explained the bout fills the vacancy left by the removal of Germaine de Randamie as 145-pound champion.

“UFC has informed Germaine de Randamie and her management team that she is being removed as the women’s featherweight champion due to her unwillingness to fight the No. 1 ranked contender, Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino. Subsequently, top contender Justino will face newly signed Invicta FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson for the UFC women’s featherweight title in the co-main event of UFC 214: Cormier vs Jones 2, July 29 in Anaheim, California. UFC maintains that any champion is expected to accept fights against the top contenders in their respective weight classes in order to maintain the integrity of the sport.”

‘Cyborg’ Justino is unbeaten since 2005. She has owned the Strikeforce and Invicta FC championships. Over the years she defeated the likes of Gina Carano, Marloes Coenen and Charmaine Tweet. Last year she made her UFC debut earning a TKO victory against Leslie Smith, as well as stopped Lina Lansberg in the next bout.

Anderson is an Australian MMA fighter out of Queensland, relocated in the US. Fighting out of Kansas City she is a five-fight veteran of the Invicta FC, moreover promotion’s featherweight champion. She is victorious in four latest bouts defeating the opponents by way of TKO. Taking on ‘Cyborg” Anderson makes her UFC debut.
