UFC 214: Three titles at stake

UFC 214 is held on Saturday July 29. The event hosted at Honda Center in Anaheim, California is an international fight bill with three championship bouts featured on the program. The main card airs on Pay-Per View following the preliminary cards on FXX and UFC Fight Pass.

The headline bout is a UFC light heavyweight title fight between the current champion Daniel Cormier and a former title holder Jon Jones. The challenge is their second encounter, following the bout in 2015 when Jones, a champion at that time, defended the belt taking a unanimous decision.

The second bout from the top is a welterweight championship featuring Tyron Woodley up against Demian Maia in defense of the belt. In addition, in a new women’s featherweight champion will be crowned following the clash between Cris Cyborg and Tonya Evinger.

The main card also includes a welterweight battle between Robbie Lawler and Donal Cerrone. In addition Jimi Manuwa takes on Volkan Oezdemir at light heavyweight.
