Saenchai shadow Muay Thai in golden octagon

The King of Muay Thai Saenchai checks out the ring.

Earlier this week the famed Muay Thai fighter out of Thailand Saenchai posted a new video on his page on Facebook. The clip shows him next to the golden color MMA octagon.

“I want to check the ring,” says Saenchai and enters the cage where he performs shadowboxing. The latter in the lingo of the master of the cartwheel kick is known as shadow Muay Thai.

“Doing shadow Muay Thai in the octagon… Feels good,” he wrote in the video’s caption ending with a thinking face emoji.

With over 300 Muay Thai bouts behind his belt Saenchai is a man who won the Lumpinee stadium championship title in four different weight classes. He has also appeared at numerous shows throughout the world such as Thai Fight, Glory World Series, Yokkao Boxing, Enfusion, among others. Since 2014 he is unbeaten in 29 bouts.

Several times Saenchai was rumored to make a transition into MMA, as well as train with Georges St-Pierre. Last year he has also given a detailed break down on Conor McGregor’s kickboxing.

This year so far Saenchai went through four challenges. His most recent bout was held earlier this month in the Thailand’s province Yala. He is due to return to Europe on September 30 battling out in the main event at Thai Fight Barcelona. The name of his next opponent is yet announced. The event follows the journey to Paris and Turin.
