Glory Kickboxing returns to Chicago with its 44th event held on August 25 at Sears Centre Arena. The program comprises eleven bouts with two championships featured on the card.

Late last month the promotion revealed a complete roster for the upcoming show. On Monday the organization advised that the card has suffered a change.

According to the announcement, due to an injury received at training American Casey Greene was forced to withdraw from the welterweight kickboxing tournament, in which he was scheduled to face French Antoine Pinto (131-36-1, 77 KO) in one of the semi-finals. Zach Bunnell replaces his American-fellow, bringing to the table the record of 5-2 as a professional and a 10-2 as an amateur. In addition he is 6-1 in MMA.

The main event at Glory 44 Chicago is a welterweight title clash between the reigning champion Cedric Doumbe and the contender Murthel Groenhart. The program airs on ESPN3.

The main event at Glory 44 Super Fight Series is a women’s super bantamweight title fight between the champion Tiffany van Soest and the challenger Funda Alkayis. The event is streamed on UFC Fight Pass.
