UFC Fight Night 121: Hunt vs Tybura

UFC Fight Night 121 is held on November 19 at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. The event airs on Fox Sports 1 following a preliminary card on UFC Fight Pass. A heavyweight clash between Kiwi-Australian Mark Hunt and Polish Marcin Tybura headlines the show.

Ranked No. 6 Hunt (13-11-1) is coming out of a TKO victory against American Derrick Lewis scored in Auckland in June. In March he suffered a KO defeat against Dutch Alistair Overeem at UFC 209 in Las Vegas. In his next fight “The Super Samoan” wanted to take on one of the Top 5 fighters in the division.

Ranked No. 10 Tybura (16-2-0) is a victor in three of his latest bouts, against Belarusian Andrei Arlovski, Brazilian Luis Henrique and Czech Viktor Pesta. His most recent appearance in the octagon was also in June.

Another heavyweight encounter on the card features UFC debutant out of Australia Tai Tuivasa (5-0) up against American Rashad Coulter (8-2-0). In addition, the organization recently announced a flyweight battle between Iranian-Australian Ashkan Mokhtarian (13-2-0) and American Ryan Benoit (9-5-0).

Mokhtarian made his UFC debut in June, facing a defeat via a unanimous decision against American John Moraga. Prior that he was riding a six-fight winning streak.

Benoit is also coming out of a defeat, suffering a split decision against Mexican Brandon Moreno last December. In July the same year he defeated Colombian Fredy Serrano taking a split decision.
