UFC 215 takes its place on Saturday September 9 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada. The event is an eleven-fight bill. The main card airs on Pay-Per-View following a preliminary program on Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

The main event is a women’s bantamweight championship between the current title holder out of Brazil Amanda Nunes (14-4) and the No.1 contender out of Kyrgyzstan Valentina Shevchenko (14-2).┬áThe bout was originally expected at UFC 213 in July, but fell off when Nunes became ill and pulled out from the contest.

It was also meant to be a co-main event bout, but was moved up. The flyweight championship between Demetrious Johnson and his American-contender Ray Borg was cancelled, when the latter had to withdraw due to sickness.

Nunes is looking forward to make the second title defense. She won the belt against Miesha Tate last July and defended the title against Ronda Rousey in December.

A multiple Muay Thai champion out of Kyrgyzstan aspires to take a revenge. The pair battled out last March with Nunes claiming a unanimous decision.

At the official weigh-in ceremony conducted on Friday Nunes showed 135. Shevchenko was 133.5. Full fight card and weigh-in results can be found below.
