UFC 215 results

UFC 215 took its place on Saturday September 9 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada. The five-fight main card on Pay-Per-View followed the preliminary cards on Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Women’s bantamweight championship between the champion Amanda Nunes and the challenger Valentina Shevchenko headlined the show. The pair was originally scheduled to fight at UFC 213 in July, but the contest was cancelled when the champion pulled out due to illness.

Moreover, the bout was expected to serve as co-main event, but was moved up when the flyweight championship between Demetrious Johnson and Ray Borg fell off, after the latter was forced to withdraw due to sickness. In addition, it was their second encounter, after Nunes came out victorious by unanimous decision in March 2016.

Nunes vs Schevchenko 2 also went the distance. The announced verdict proclaimed the reigning champion making the second title defense via a split decision. Nunes won the belt against Miesha Tate last year, and made the first defense against Ronda Rousey in December.

Also on the card Rafael dos Anjos submitted Neil Magny in the first round, and Henry Cejudo stopped Wilson Reis in the second round. Complete UFC 215 results can be found below.
