World GBC Tour 12 – two WKN titles at stake

World GBC Tour 12 is held on Saturday October 14 at La Boiserie. Promoted by David Blanc, the event marks a return of Kickboxing World Championship to French Mazan with two WKN titles challenged on the night.

A five-round WKN World super lightweight championship headlines the program. French Eddy Nait Slimani takes on Korean Dong Su Kim battling out for a vacant belt.

Nait Slimani is a prominent competitor out of France. Over the course of his career he has twice earned WKN European lightweight belt, winning against Hungarian Antoine Habash and Belgian Alan Godzicki. He is also victorious against the likes of Antonio Campoy, Cedric Castagna and Houcine Bennouio. In addition he went up against the “King of Muay Thai” himself, Saenchai.

Su Kim is a current WKN World lightweight champion out of Korea. Battling out on his home soil at ICX Seoul in May, he scored a unanimous decision against the notable representative of Germany, Kevin Burmester.

The co-main event is WKN World welterweight championship. The bout features the reigning champion French Bruce Codron up against the Russian-Austrian challenger Ruslan Tokhtarov.

Codron is a kickboxing veteran out of France. Facing off Toktharov, he makes the second defense of the belt he has won against Denmark’s Mohamed El-Mir, and defended against Estonian Mirkko Moisar.

Tokhtarov is a Russian kickboxer and Muay Thai fighter living in Austria. His resume includes the battles against Dani Rodriguez, Edi Shehaj, Martin Ryan, Nerdin Fejzovic, among others.

World GBC Tour 12 fight card also includes a four-man super lightweight tournament as well as a series of international bouts. The event airs on SFR Sport 5.
