All Star Fight 2 main event announced
All Star Fight 2 is held on Saturday September 30. The event is the following edition of a new televised Muay Thai promotion held at Workpoint Entertainment Studio in Bangkok, Thailand. The inaugural event was held in August featuring Thai fighters up against international opponents.
Last week the organization released a teaser trailer for the upcoming show. On Wednesday famed Thai fighter Buakaw Banchamek has been announced to battle out in the headliner of the show. His opponent is a competitor out of Ukraine, Sergei Kuliaba.
The 34-year old Buakaw Banchamek (300-23-12, 69 KO) is riding a four-fight winning streak since December 2016. He scored the victories against French Azize Hlali, Belarusian Andrei Kulebin, as well as two Chinese fighters Tian Xin and Kong Lingfeng.
The 26-year-old Sergei Kuliaba (29-3-0, 5 KO) is an experienced Ukrainian athlete known for the bouts against such Thai fighters as Jomthong Chuwattana and Sak Kaoponlek. He has also fought the likes of Belarusian Andrei Kulebin and Australian Chris Ngimbi.
Buakaw Banchamek vs Sergei Kuliaba is a three-round welterweight (70 kg) encounter. The bout headlines the All Star Fight 2 program that reportedly also features Pakorn PK Saenchai, Manachai Yokkaosaenchaigym, Andrei Kulebin, among others.
