UFC Sydney fight card update

UFC Sydney Fight Night 121 is held on Sunday November 19. The event airs live on FOX from Qudos Bank Arena. The heavyweight clash between Kiwi-Australian Mark “The Super Samoan” Hunt and Poland’s Marcin Tybura headlines the show.

Over the last several weeks the promotion has been announcing the bouts featured on the card. The most recent addition is a middleweight battle between Australian Daniel Kelly (13-2-0) and Elias Theodorou (14-2-0) of Canada.

Daniel Kelly is coming off the first-round TKO defeat he suffered against Derek Brunson in June. He has previously scored a four-fight winning streak against Rashad Evans, Chris Camozzi, Antonio Carlos Junior and Steve Montgomery.

“The Spartan” Theodorou was also defeated in his most recent bout against Brad Tavares in July. Before that he claimed a unanimous decision against Cezar Ferreira, as well as similarly defeated Sam Alvey.

The welterweight bout between Belal Muhammad and his American-fellow Jesse Taylor has been reportedly taken off the card, with the latter beingĀ flagged for an Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample taken on August 22. Muhammad remains on the roster face off a new opponent yet to be named.
