UFC 216 Ferguson vs Lee is held on October 7 (October 8 in Australia) at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The program is a 12-fight bill with two championship bouts featured on the card.

The expected women’s flyweight battle between Paige VanZant and Jessica Eye was cancelled. The organization announced on Monday that “due to injury, Paige VanZant has been forced to withdraw from her UFC 216 bout against Jessica Eye on Oct. 8.” Eye was reportedly pulled from the card and is expected to appear at future event, facing off an opponent to be determined.

In addition, according to its sources MMA Fighting reports that “VanZant suffered an intervertebral disc injury training jiu-jitsu and was advised by her doctor to avoid training for a few weeks.” It is also advised that VanZant won’t need to undergo surgery.

UFC 216 is headlined by the interim lightweight title challenge between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee. As well, the current flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson faces Ray Borg in defense of the belt.

The main card airs on Pay-Per-View, following the preliminary cards on FXX and UFC Fight Pass. The current UFC 216 fight card can be found below.
