UFC Sydney fight card update

UFC Fight Night 121 takes place on Sunday November 19 at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney. The event is headlined by a heavyweight bout between Kiwi-Australian Mark “The Super Samoan” Hunt and Poland’s Marcin Tybura.

Several bouts expected on the card have been revealed to date. The most recent contest features American flyweight Eric Shelton face off Filipino Jenel Lausa. The latter announced the bout with a post on Instagram.

Eric Shelton (10-4) is coming off two losses suffered against Jarred Brooks and Alexandre Pantoja. The fight against Lausa will be his third appearance in the UFC.

Before signing with UFC Jenel Lausa (7-3) has fought in the square circle. To date his resume in the organization comprises a decision victory against Yoa Zhikui, as well as a similar defeat against Magomed Bibulatov.

In addition, according to MMA Today, Canadian Jeremy Kennedy was forced to pull out from his featherweight bout against Australian Alex Volkanovski due to back injury. The latter reportedly remains on the card going up against an opponent yet to be determined.

A formal announcement of the fight card change has not yet been made by the promotion*. The expected UFC Sydney fight card can be found below.
