“Georges St-Pierre, you are a lion,” Saenchai
Here he is, the King of Muay Thai with a new message related to Mixed Martial Arts. Ahead of last Saturday’s UFC 217 showdown at Madison Square Garden, Saenchai left a message for George St-Pierre on his page on Facebook.
“Georges St-Pierre, good luck, wrote Saenchai. “You are a lion and a champion. The best technicians overcome weight disadvantages.”
As we now know, GSP made history with a highly anticipated comeback after a four-year lay off. Moreover, former welterweight champion, who has held the belt from April 2008 to December 2013, moved up a weight class and challenged the defending middleweight title holder Michael Bisping.
The day after the event Saenchai made a new statement. In fact, he has basically confirmed his own words.
“Like I said yesterday, the best technicians overcome weight disadvantages. Georges St-Pierre, you are a lion and the greatest MMA fighter in this era. Tristar Gym/coach Zahabii, congrats on the big win.”
Over the course of his career Saenchai PKSaenchaimuaythaigym won Lumpinee Stadium championship in four different weight classes. Last year he was rumored to train with Georges St-Pierre in Canada; furthermore to make a transition to MMA.
