UFC Fight Night 121 takes place at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney this coming Sunday. The six-fight main card airs live on FS 6, Edge and Fight Pass starting at 2 PM. It follows the three-fight preliminary card on UFC Fight Pass scheduled at 12 PM, and the early prelims program also on Fight Pass, which commences the show at 10:30 AM.

On Tuesday the promotion officially announced the catch weight bout between the representative of the country-host Alexander Volkanovski and his new opponent out of New Zealand Shane Young. The Australian featherweight has initially revealed the bout with the post on his social media profiles.

“Despite losing opponents Jeremy Kennedy and Humberto Bandenay due to injury, Australian prospect Alexander Volkanovski will be in action this weekend in Sydney, as New Zealander Shane Young has stepped up for the UFC Fight Night bout at Qudos Bank Arena. Auckland’s Young, 11-3 as a pro, brings a five-fight winning streak into his Octagon debut against Windang’s Volkanovski, who has won 12 straight, including two UFC bouts against Yusuke Kasuya and Mizuto Hirota, leading up to this weekend’s matchup, which will be contested at a catchweight of 150 pounds.”
