The Battle 17: two WKN titles at stake
International kickboxing returns to Greece with The Battle 17 held on December 10 at Taekwondo Olympic Arena in Athens. The event is the next edition of the world-class promotions by Stefanos Konstantinidis, featuring the leading representatives of the country-host as well as the competitors from overseas.
On Thursday World Kickboxing Network announced the following match up presented on the fight card. Super welterweight Aris Antoni defends his WKN National title facing off Sotiris Tzivelis. The contest is scheduled for five-rounds in pro-amateur class.
Antoni won the belt early October in Corfu, where he scored the fourth-round KO victory over Vaggelis Rigas. The bout against Tzivelis is a rematch, following their initial encounter last year, when Antoni also came out victorious by knockout. Also on the card Greek super welterweight Meletis Kakoumpavas goes up against Slovakian kickboxer Pavol Garaj in a three-round kickboxing challenge. In addition the representative of the country-host Dimitris Xerikos takes on Bosnian boxer Adnan Hadzihajdic at middleweight.
