International kickboxing event Glory 48 takes place at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York this coming Friday December 1. The event features the ten-fight bill, with two titles contested on the night.

On Thursday the organization announced the change in a reserve bout featured in the Glory 48 Super Fight Series program. American Paul Banasiak (5-1, 2 KOs) replaced previously announced Ahmed Samir, in the middleweight match against Ivan Galaz (56-6, 15 KOs) of Chile. Samir suffered an injury in one of his final training sessions and was forced to withdraw from the bout.

The winner of Banasiak and Galaz bout “will be on standby to step up into the Middleweight Contender Tournament final, should either of the two victorious semi-finalists be too injured to take their slot.” The tournament is held on the Glory 48 New York card, with Robert Thomas up against Wayne Barrett, and Mike Lemaire face off Matt Baker.

In the main event at Glory 48 New York Kevin VanNostrand and Anvar Boynazarov battle out for the interim featherweight belt. In the main event at Glory 48 Super Fight Series Tiffany van Soest defends her super bantamweight belt against Anissa Meksen. The current fight card can be found below.
