John Wayne Parr earns third victory in Italy
Australian John Wayne Parr made his third appearance in Italy this past Saturday December 9. Battling out on the main card of Bellator Kickboxing 8, “The Gunsliger” faced the representative of the country-host Piergiulio Paolucci.
The scheduled for three rounds catchweight bout didn’t go the distance. It was all over in the last round with the referee stopping the contest at 2 minutes and 32 seconds. As a result Parr was proclaimed as the winner by TKO.
The victory is the second Parr’s triumph in Italy this year, as well as the third in his career. In April he fought in Turin, scoring a spectacular knockout victory against local Nando Calzetta. Back in 2004 Parr fought in Padova, scoring a unanimous decision against Austrian Fadi Merza.
In the main event at Bellator Kickboxing 8 Raymond Daniels earned a unanimous decision against Giannis Boukis. Also on the card Joe Schilling similarly defeated Filip Verlinden. The complete results can be found below.
