WKN Kickboxing championship weekend set in Spain and France

Finalizing the year, World Kickboxing Network, prestigious sports governing body, is again set for a busy weekend with two world-class promotions in France and Spain. Saturday December 16 is a “D-Day” featuring three international match ups in Saint-Fonts, as well as the WKN Bantamweight championship contested in Ponferrada.

International kickboxing returns to French city Saint-Fons with Nuit de Challenges 17 promoted by Nasser Kacem at Palais des Sports. The renowned trainer of such star as Yohan Lidon, presents a solid card with three WKN match ups featured on the program.

The event marks the return of French Abdallah Mabel who takes on Bulgarian Hristo Hristov. Also on the card the representative of the country-host Yuksel Ayaydin goes up against Serbian Mihajlo Kecojevic.

Moreover, the son of the promoter, lightweight Antar Kacem faces a newly crowned WKN Intercontinental champion out of Argentina Nikolas Vega. A series of super fights top up the roster.

Coello vs. Goncalves – WKN Bantamweight title

Meanwhile Spanish city Ponferrada accommodates the World Championship event promoted by Diego Vazquez. In the main event the representative of the country-host Carlos Coello takes on Portuguese Joao Goncalves. The pair battles out for a vacant WKN World bantamweight title in Muay Thai.

The fight card also includes local fighters up against international opponents representing Serbia, Italy and Portugal. The event is the third WKN promotion in Spain this year, following two Hombres de Honor MMA fight nights held in June and February.
