Hombres de Honor MMA: three WKN titles at stake
Popular Spanish Mixed Martial Arts promotion Hombres de Honor MMA is set for 2018 with two events already scheduled in Madrid and Canary Islands. This year the events promoted by Chinto Mordillo showcased two WKN Spanish championships, featuring Javier Fuentes earning the 77 kg belt in February, and Julio Cesar Alves taking the 70 kg strap in June.
“Two [Hombres de Honor MMA] events have been scheduled for 2018 with three WKN International titles at stake,” the organization announced on Wednesday. Some of the participants have been revealed to date, including the representatives of the country-host as well as the competitors out of Brazil and Venezuela.
“HDH 92 is held back in Madrid on February 18 with two WKN International titles contested on the night. Spanish Enoc Solves (21-10) battles out for the middleweight belt facing off an opponent whose name to be determined. Venezuela-born residing in Spain Karla Benitez (15-11) challenges for flyweight strap with her opponent also to be announced in the near future.”
“HDH 93 takes place on Canary Islands on March 10. The headline bout features Spanish Oscar “Jacare” Suarez up against Brazilian Teto Terranosa. The pair battles out for WKN International bantamweight title.”
World Kickboxing Network launched its MMA branch last December. In 2000’s, in collaboration with notorious IVC (International Vale Tudo Championship), the organization went in history as a pioneer-promoter of the MMA bouts on European soil.
