Yodsanklai Fairtex is back in the ring Vol. 2
Famed Muay Thai fighter Yodsanklai Fairtex makes his second return to action. Last June the winner of The Contender Asia announced his retirement due to injuries sustained over the course of his career. This was after he made an initial comeback after more than a year of layoff, and won four bouts in China in 2017.
On the first day of 2018 a new video emerged featuring Yodsanklai revealing his plans for the nearest future. This includes the bouts at the events promoted by Kunlun Fight, as well as a highly anticipated showdown with his renowned Thai-fellow Buakaw Banchamek at Chinese promotion Martialism Square, which made its debut in April.
According to KLF, Yodsanklai might be seen in action as early as on February 4. Kunlun Fight 69 takes place at Guiyang, China, with the likes of Buakaw, Superbon Banchamek, Laetitia Madjene featured on the card.
Yodsanklai Fairtex is the former Lumpinee Stadium champion in two different weight classes (112 and 147 lb). His resume also includes World Muaythai Council middleweight title and WBC World super welterweight title. Competing across the Globe, he has defeated the A-list fighters including John Wayne Parr, Yohan Lidon, Cosmo Alexandre, Dzhabar Askerov, among others.
The date, place and the name of the opponent to take on Yodsanklai Fairtex in his next bout is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. We will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
