Thai Fight: Final

The final round of “Thai Fight” takes place at Bangkok Metropolitan Administration on Saturday January 27. The event airs live on TV, featuring the championship bouts of three single-elimination tournaments at 67 kg, 70 kg and 72.5 kg weight categories.

In addition to the previously announced super lightweight tournament final between Thai star Saenchai PKSaenchaimuaythaigym and Bauyrbek Mukhanzhan of Kazakhstan, FIGHTMAG learned the names of competitors battling out in the welterweight and super welterweight classes.

The representative of the country-host Saensatharn P.K.SaenchaiMuaythaigym takes on the welterweight out of Uzbekistan Naimjon Tuhtaboyev. The Thai fighter is victorious against Algerian Walid Otmane, scoring the decision in the semi-final round held last month in Chiang Mai. On the same night, advancing to the final, Naimjon Tuhtaboyev defeated French Mohamed Houmer by knockout in the first round with spinning-back fist.

In the super welterweight class Saiyok Pumpanmuang faces his Thai-fellow Chanajon PKSaenchaimuaythaigym. Saiyok is coming off a decision win against Italian Martin Meoni, while Chanajon similarly defeated Russian Islam Murtazaev.

In summary, the roster of the final round of three championship tournaments is completed. The fight card also includes a series of super fights, with the announced appearance of Peth-Samui, Mungkornkhao and PTT Petchrungrueng. The names of their opponents are yet to be revealed.
