Tomas Mozny lines up three bouts
Trained by Lukas Bodyy, Slovakian heavyweight Tomas Mozny (17-5-1, 6 KOs) is set for three days of a big bang. It all starts on Saturday March 3 when “The Giant Slovak” makes his third appearance at GLORY World Series. Battling out at Rotterdam Ahoy he faces Czech Daniel Skvor (14-6-2, 12 KOs). The pair squares off in the co-headline bout, right before a highly anticipated rematch between famed Badr Hari and Hesdy Gerges.
Talking to Slovakian website Kosiceonline, Mozny said that the upcoming bout against Skvor is one of the most exciting happenings in his career. He outlined that he had been watching Hari for over fifteen years, and was honored to fight before him. Furthermore the representative of WKN Top Team desires to extend the initial three-fight contract with the promotion, in which he currently holds the 1-1 record.
The next stop is back in Slovakia where Mozny is expected to appear in kickboxing series Simply the Best 18 Poprad. The event is held on March 16, which is only a week and a half after GLORY 51 Rotterdam. Therefore “it all depends on health” after the trip to Holland. The name of his opponent is yet announced.
The third scheduled contest takes place on May 25 at 50.000-seat National Stadium Warsaw. This is where “Slovakian Giant” Mozny faces his old foe Tomasz Sarara, aspiring to take a revenge. The pair has previously met in 2013, battling out in the final round of Bigger’s Better Boxing 22 Zakopane. Furthermore, the upcoming showdown is for prestigious World Kickboxing Network heavyweight title.
