Girl Power 5 results

The fifth and final Girl Power Kickboxing episode of the first season aired live on TV and FITE Pay-Per-Vie last night (Feb. 9) from Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. The event featured eight international featherweights, battling it out in a one-night knockout tournament.

The 22-year-old representative of Turkey Irem Akin earned three victories during one evening, consequently taking the belt. In the opening round she eliminated Bosnian Selma Baltic. In the semi-final she scored the decision against Serbian Marina Spasic.

The championship round saw Akin going up against Mallaury Kalachnikoff of France. On the way to the final French star defeated Croatian Monika Babic and Czech Tereza Dvorakova.

The Akin vs. Kalachnikoff bout went the distance. After three rounds of women’s kickboxing the Turkish fighter was proclaimed as the winner by decision.

As a result Irem Akin updated her record to 15-0. Earlier in her career she won Gold at IFMA Muay Thai World Championships 2014, as well as became the winner at Girl Power 3 Sunny Beach.
