The Battle 18 by WKN takes place at the Olympic Taekwondo Centre in Athens on April 29. The event promoted by Stefanos Konstantinidis features a mixed fight bill with two WKN titles contested on the night.
The headliner of the show is a four man knockout contest. The roster features the A-list Greek Light Heavyweights battling out in a single-elimination tournament for WKN National strap.
The fight card suffered a change when Dimitris Chiotis was forced to withdraw from the event due to injury. He is replaced by Emmanuel Diakam, who was put back in the roster.
Diakam takes on Nikos Tzotzos in one of the semi-finals. If successful, in the championship bout he will face one of two other competitors, Giannis Manolas or Marios Blanas, who square off in the second semi-final.
Meanwhile, sidelined Chiotis is expected to challenge the winner of the upcoming eliminator at the future promotion. In 2016 he became WKN Greek national champion in the middleweight class, taking all four-man tournament.
The fight card at The Battle 18 also includes Greek welterweight residing in Los Angeles, CA, Stelios Papadopoulos (9-0-2, 2 KOs). The name of his opponent is yet to be known. The name of challenger who squares off against Greek Mixed Martial Artist Christina Stelliou for WKN International flyweight title, in terms of the Ladies First program, is also expected to be announced in the near future.
The special guest on the night is Greek-German cruiserweight boxer Sotirios Georgikeas (19-1, 17 KOs). The current lineup can be found below.
