IFMA Muay Thai World Championships 2018 is held in Cancun, Mexico from Thursday May 10 to Saturday May 19. Over 90 National delegations partake in the first ever competition held in Pan-America, including Team Australia.
Australian Muay Thai fighters are the regular competitors at the both annual IFMA competitions (adult and youth). Over the years the Green and Gold colors have been represented in Thailand, Russia, Belarus, Sweden, Turkey and other countries.
The team from “Land Down Under” arrived in Cancun on Thursday. The athletes have successfully weighed-in, and are ready for the first day of competition, which is scheduled for Saturday May 12 at the Oceana Hotel.
“Adults Worlds is on in Mexico! Weigh-in done and everyone pumping and keen for fights to start. It’s a paradise for the event. Everyone is loving the location and are keen to take on the world,” Muaythai Australia stated on its page on Facebook.
The roster at IFMA Worlds 2018 comprises 65 divisions in total with 329 registered competitors. The live scoring and event information is available at IFMAlive.com.
