Domination Muay Thai 20 is held on Saturday June 2 at Serpentine Jarrahdale Recreation Centre in Byford (Perth), WA. The World Championship event features a series of bouts with some of the leading Australian and international competitors.
Mid last month FIGHTMAG reported the return of Alex James, who steps inside the square circle facing off Alex ‘Husqvarna’ Roberts. On Tuesday the promotion outlined the contest as a “feature fight” between “two of Perth favorite heavyweights”.
“Both boys hail from Suburb of Willetton [City of Canning, WA]. Both have reputations as hard men in and out of the ring… Pressure is on.”
The James vs. Roberts is scheduled for three rounds with the fighters wearing head gear and elbow pads, in compliance with WA Combat Sports Commission, due to the quantity of recorded bouts of the latter. The WKN WA State championship, initially targeted for the bout, has been taken off.
Domination Muay Thai 20 is headlined by Toby “The Weapon” Smith up against Sam Gough, contesting for WKN World Middleweight title. The co-main event is WKN Australian Lightweight championship between Roy Wills and Jordan Godtfredsen, with the winner earning a World Title shot at the future event.
