IFMA Muay Thai
Youth World Championships 2018 is held in Bangkok, Thailand from August 2 to August 10. The event takes place at the National Stadium with up to 1,000 young Muay Thai competitors expected to battle out for IFMA gold.
The registration for the event is officially open. The local organizing committee is “fully prepared to welcome participants from the entire world in Bangkok,” the organization reported this week.
“The Youth of the world will proudly march into the arena as an IOC recognized sport federation, understanding the duties and responsibilities that come with it. It will be a debut for some athletes in IFMA events whereas others shining in Bangkok last year will be watching the bouts in the status of the senior athletes.”
Senior Muay Thai World Championships was held last month in Cancun, being reported as a “very successful” event. The Pan American Continent is expected to send a record number of participants to an upcoming event in Bangkok, “which will join the other four continents in celebrating the cultural exchange and going for a true adventure that is the IFMA Youth World Championships.”
