Parviz Iskenderov and Rob Powdrill Take Part at Nemesis Fight Show

Rob Powdrill and myself are fighting at Nemesis fight show on Saturday, November 16, 2013 in Perth, Australia.

We obviously don’t fight each other but feature on the same card. The next Nemesis event is the Battle for Honour. North vs South, where the fighters are defending the pride of the side of Perth Swan River they live or train.

Both of us had some time off due to certain reason. Nevertheless we are looking forward to a serious return.

Rob Powdrill, 29, is a top-class muaythai fighter. Among everything he has had the WKN kickboxing world title shot in France in 2012. He also tried himself in MMA. Powdrill was out from the scene for approximately six months. Some where saying he was done.

“I haven’t retired, I am far from it,” he says.

“I am 29 years young, 16 in the head.”

“MMA is for wrestlers. I like punching and kicking faces”.

For me the upcoming Nemesis fight show is an addition to all my activities and involvement in muaythai. I’ve started fighting when I was nine, there were wins and defeats, ups and downs like in anything.

I am proud and enjoy what I do for sport alongside fighting. I promote and manage athletes with the recent example of Danial Mini T Williams in Japan. I also advertise and help promoting fight shows.

However I feel like I need to put all this work a little bit aside, and do something for myself in the actual ring. Seriously and the way I used to. It only requires proper training, hard work and motivation.

I came to Australia when I was 21 and it’s been five years so far. I probably have only five more years of fighting. So there is no more time to waste.

At Nemesis Fight Show on November 16 Rob Powdrill represents North. He is fighting out of Mungkorn Mai gym under the patronage of Bill Seth. Powdrill is facing off Michael Wiktora.

I am proudly representing Kao Sok Muay Thai Gym, fighting for Darren Currovic’s eminent camp South of the river. My opponent is Alex Job.
