Batu Khasikov wins WKN Super Welterweight title

Batu Khasikov of Russia and Mike Zambidis of Greece squared off for the second time on Friday March 28 in Moscow, Russia. The pair battled it out for World Kickboxing Network Super Welterweight title topping the “Battle 15” fight-bill.

Khasikov and Zambidis previously met in 2011. The result saw the Russian fighter taking the win by TKO in the first round.

Their recent encounter went the distance ending in a split decision. Khasikov was pronounced as the winner, consequently becoming a new WKN World Super Welterweight champion.

The judge from Greece, who reportedly was strictly requested by the camp of Zambidis, scored the fight in favor of his country-fellow. The photo report can be found below.
