Stephane Cabrera IBA Boxing Boss in Europe

World Kickboxing Network has shared some very exciting news on Twitter, only a few hours prior live boxing broadcast on Eurosport from Frankfurt, where Germany’s Denis Liebau and Cuban-Hungarian Ericles Torres Marin will clash in the IBA Intercontinental title bout headlining the show.

The World Kickboxing Network posted on Twitter:

Mr Stephane Cabrera, WKN World President, obtains position of International Boxing Association Official Rep in Europe.

Just a little bit over a week ago we have released an exclusive, that broke the world news of kickboxing, where Mr Stephane Cabrera has shared a bulk of outstanding facts of his incredible career in combat sports for over twenty years.

Stephane Cabrera has been powering the World Kickboxing Network since 1994. He is also a co-founder of the Bigger’s Better Boxing, a former European continental and France National representative of ISKA & a Vice-World president of International Vale Tudo Council.

Today Mr Stephane Cabrera is announced to be an official delegate in Europe of the IBA – International Boxing Association that is formed in the United State of America.

What we know about IBA

In the release last week, Mr Cabrera has made a mention on IBA, saying the following: ‘IBA boxing is a new breed in Europe. We will try to develop it with the help of the best boxing referee in the world and my good friend Mr Steve Smoger.’

Mr Steve Smoger, by the way, is the third main man in the boxing ring tonight. This also generates more value and prestige. Evidentially when a person like Double-S himself, who is recognized as the best boxing ref in the world, pays attention and his time on being involved. Smoger is also an official Bigger’s Better head referee since a number of years.

International Boxing Association had been successful since its formation, governed by Mr Dean Chance from Ohio with the Vice-President Mr Bob Case of California’s Agoura Hills. IBA is widely considered to be a base title that up and coming boxers claim on their ways to obtain the opportunity to fight for boxing organizations like WBC.

However the list of the IBA title holders includes some of the most famous names of boxing like Oscar De La Hoya, Arturo Gatti, Diego Corrales and many others, with Bernard Hopkins as one of the current champions.

The debut IBA boxing championship in Europe have been featured in the 26th tournament of the Bigger’s Better boxing series last November in Liepaja, when Latvian Mairis Briedis defeated Lubos Suda from Czech Republic and took the Cruiserweight world title belt live on Eurosport.

The second recent IBA sanctioned boxing title match in Europe was held in the city of Gent in June earlier this year, with Belgium’s Joel Tambwe Djeko taking the first round knockout win over Frank Bluemle from Germany along with the Intercontinental belt.

Tonight live Eurosport boxing fight night in Frankfurt is promoted by Mr Enrico Schutze of PSP-Boxing in collaboration with the Bigger’s Better Inc.

The IBA Intercontinental Light-heavyweight title is on the line for Denis Liebau of Germany and Ericles Torres Marin Cuban-Hungarian, to square the differences in the ten rounds of professional boxing.
